The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with IMPAC Medical Systems, 100 Mathilda Place, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 for software maintenance and support of the IMPAC software that runs the IMPAC medical system in the Radiation Therapy Department for a period of one year, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for software and licenses. IMPAC provides a comprehensive oncology cancer care management solution that helps improve overall communication, process efficiency, and the quality of patient care. The IMPAC medical system software requires precise setup for consistent delivery and accurate documentation which is critical to radiation oncology. IMPAC Medical Systems has exclusive rights to this software and are the only responsible source for this existing product. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest; accompanied by supporting information, to the Contracting Officer no later than December 18, 2007 at 10am. Responses should be sent to

Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
