NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Concurrent Computer Corporation (CCC). These ImaGen systems are for the new emulators and the System Integration Test Facility Q (SITF-Q) lab being built as part of the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF). Because of the complexity of the real-time computing, the systems running the real-time operating system must be certified by the provider of the systems. CCCs proprietary RedHawk Linux real-time operating system is the real-time system currently used in the various labs of the IATF. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Sabrina Pearson at [email protected] or fax to 256-961-9604 no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
