United States Transportation Command (USTC) has a requirement to extend their current contract for the Global Transportation Network (GTN), Contract F19628-95-C-0029, with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems (LMMS), 9255 Wellington Road, Manassas VA 20110-4121, for approximately twenty-eight months. The AMC Contracting Flight, Scott AFB, IL, will execute this extension under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. GTN provides USTC Command, Control, Communication and Computer (C4) capability to carry out its mission of providing Intransit Visibility for passengers, cargo and supplies moving through the Defense Transportation System (DTS). GTN is critical to the DTS Operation. A follow-on system, termed GTN 21, is presently in the source selection phase with an anticipated award date of August 2002. GTN 21 will replace the existing GTN system capability and will be fielded no later than May 2005. Until that time, the current contract will continue to fulfill existing GTN maintenance requirements which include the identification, analysis and repair of software deficiencies in developed GTN software and its integrated Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, upgrade and installation of all integrated COTS products, upgrade of GTN system documents and manuals, support for Government Configuration Management (CM) and Software Test and Evaluation activities, support for government software maintenance releases, and technical training and support of contingencies. Associated functional requirements include System Administration and Operations, Database Management, Help Desk and ITV Cell Support.
