The Export-Import Bank of the United States proposes to purchase on-line database information services with LexisNexis, 1150 18th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20036. The online database allows for searching and retrieval of current and archived news, law, public records, and business data. LexisNexis provides news and legal material that is crucial for analysis, background, and execution of Bank programs and operations. Searching and alerting services are vital for daily awareness of domestic and foreign markets. Exim Bank relies on the following proprietary features: • Shepard’s Citation system • Matthew Bender Treatises • Martindale-Hubbel Law Directories • DC-specific publications • Tax Analyst • 3,000 Trade Journals, Magazines & Newspapers that are not available on Westlaw. The services are used by the Research Library and Communications departments. Their legal information is used by the Bank’s Research Library. The Bank requires access to Lexis Nexis online database for a twelve month base period and four consecutive option years. This purchase is being made under commercial buy procedures and in accordance with FAR 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the Bank.
