Synopsis: The VA Bay Pines Healthcare Procurement Business Service intends to procure sole source with DIRECTV, Inc. 1313 NW 167th Street, Miami, Florida for satellite television service for the patient and waiting room areas of the VA Medical Center located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines FL. The VA Medical center is currently using DIRECTV satellite service. DIRECTV is the only known satellite provider for this area. NAICS code 517410 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must supply information about their capabilities to the Contracting Officer no later than 4:00pm EST, October 13, 2009. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government and can be sent via e-mail to [email protected]. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures.
