NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER to Colfax International. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for the Ship Engineering and Analysis Technology (SeaTech) Center. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C 2304 (c) (1) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1-Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This purchase is for one high performance Linux (CentOS) workstation. The computer houses 48 computing cores, 64GB RAM, and a RAID configured hard drive; all of these components are critical. The computer system will be built and sold by Colfax Engineering. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by 10 September 2010
