This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service, Region 9, Hawaii Area Office, intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed-price, commercial contract to Compunetix, Inc, 2420 Mosside Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146 for the acquisition of Compunetix telecommunication equipment. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Companies who can provide the above listed proprietary device must indicate their interest in writing no later than September 25, 2003. Estimated date of award is September 26, 2003. All responsible sources will be considered for evaluating the determination to issue a sole source contract. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 01-15. The government intends to purchase the following supplies plus an installation, switch and keyset software modifications service packages:00-7611-0252, KPI-24II Red / Black Keyset, QTY 11; 11-0000-4818, Keyset Power Adapter (110VAC, includes power cord), QTY 10;00-8913-3355-03, FCI Module, QTY 9; 00-KTMX, BRIDGE Keyset T1 Multiplexer (KTMX) 9 Port, QTY 10; 00-7611-0210-FOKIT, Fiber Optic Kit, QTY 39. FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-4, and FAR 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2 does not apply to this sole source acquisition. Quotes shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000 and 252.247-7022. The following additional FAR clauses apply: 52.203-6, 52.203-6 Alt I, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.232-33.
