The National Technical Information Service (NTIS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is seeking interested firms to provide backup service to our Anacomp Imaging System (XF23-XP MOD III 440PPM) which outputs electronic images to 105mm microfiche. The nature of our Anacomp system is to provide a subscription service of preselected subject topics copied to microfiche. The microfiche data is tailored information delivering complete copies of Government publications/reports based on the customer's needs. Producing two issues per month we average nearly 300,000 orders annually. Each order contains multiple sheets of 4X6 mircofiche which holds up to 98 images per sheet. Because of logistics, interested firms within Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia are preferred for courier purposes but not necessarily required.
