The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Verizon Federal, Inc., utilizing the authority of FAR 6.302-1. To the best of the Contracting Officer's knowledge, Verizon Federal, Inc. is the only source available in the Washington DC area to provide Internet Protocol Routing Service (IPRS). A total of 50 IPRS ports with Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) access service for the Internet are required and will be awarded on a best value basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A QUOTATION. However, if a company has reason to believe that it can meet or exceed all the needs of the university for this requirement, it may submit documentation to support its claim.
