The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price delivery order on contract N0001917G0013 to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration of Greenlawn, New York (BAE), for the support of a Mode 5 Level 2 Broadcast (M5L2B) flight test. The test will demonstrate the transmitting and receiving of M5LB2 messages in specific use cases.
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
