The Gifford Pinchot National Forest intends to acquire by contract vegetation treatment through fuelbed creation and fireline construction. The fuel beds that will be built shall not exceed 24 inches in depth and fireline/fuel break construction shall be no thinner than 60" wide. The results of this vegetation treatment are the restoration of ecological conditions in an area traditionally known for its native huckleberries as well as creation of early seral stage of forest succession and wildland fire resiliency. Contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, vehicles, services, permits, and licenses to successfully complete the work. The Contractor shall also assume all risk, loss, damage or expense arising out of the prosecution of the work, except as otherwise stated in the contract. The project location is on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest Cowlitz Valley Ranger District on Forest Road 770224.

This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The applicable NAICE code is 115310- Fuels Management Services. The corresponding size standard is $19.0 million. Offerors will be evaluated on technical capability (experience, performance schedule, etc.), past performance, benefit to local community and price. The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose submittal, in compliance with the solicitation, is the best value to the Government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM Database will render an offeror ineligible for award. SAM replaced the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
