THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra-Nevada Regional Office (SNR), intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to LightRiver Technologies, Inc., 2150 John Glenn Drive Ste 200, Concord CA 94520-5655 in order to provide customized 3 day OC-192 SONET Multiplexer training for WAPA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 05/05/2014, at 9:00 AM PST to be considered.

Only LightRiver Technologies, Inc. has the unique, proprietary knowledge of the support needed by WAPA. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423690 with a size standard of 100 employees.
