Naval Special Warfare Command (NSW), Contracting Department, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract as a 100% small business set-aside for custom-manufactured hot-dip galvanized heavy duty mobile catwalks based on the below minimum specifications:

  • Each catwalk shall be between 10-foot & 11-foot in total height (7-foot deck height), between 30-foot and 35-foot in length, and 38-inches in width.
  • Each catwalk shall have handrails, chain poles, 3-inch steel casters.
  • Each catwalk shall be made of stainless-steel hardware and will be assembled by the Contractor at the delivery address specified.
  • Each catwalk shall have a walkable stairway with a 1,000-pound load capacity.
  • Each catwalk shall be compliance with all OSHA safety protocols.
  • A “design concept” drawing attachment will be included with the solicitation.

The catwalk requirement will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures and FAR Subpart 19.5 – Set Asides for Small Business.  The contract will include a base CLIN of one (1) catwalk and Option CLIN for four (4) additional catwalks. Delivery is FOB Destination to NSW SBT-20, Virginia Beach, VA 23459. 

The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code is 332999.  The size standard is no more than 750 employees. 

A complete Request for Quote (RFQ) package will be available for downloading at the Beta.Sam.Gov website: https://beta.sam.gov/ on or about 18 December 2020.

Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above sites; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the offeror is self-certifying that neither the requestor not the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contrast from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the internet at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/
