The USDA Forest Service, Region 1 Regional Office, Custer Gallatin National Forest, is issuing a Request for Proposal for a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract for the Hyalite Canyon Slope Stabilization Project. It is the intent of this contract to secure construction services to stabilize an unstable slope in Hyalite Canyon by means of dewatering and relieving excess pore water pressures in the slope.  This work will accomplish this through deeply drilled horizontal drains in two different locations along the face of the slope (one midway up the slope and one at the base).  Drain lengths will range from 600 to 1000 feet and vary from 2 to 5 degrees.  The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary.

The project is located in the Bozeman Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, approximately 6 miles southwest of Bozeman in Gallatin County, Montana at 45.560333°, -111.067703° latitude & longitude, respectively.
