NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE SEALED PROPOSALS The Board of Trustees of the Amarillo Independent School District (the “District,” “Owner” or “AISD”) is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP)s for CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, pursuant to Texas Government Code, Chapter 2269, Subchapter D, for the HS AND MS GYM HVAC PROJECT (“CSP 4053”). Competitive Sealed Proposals for the HS AND MS GYM HVAC PROJECT (CSP 4053) will be received until the Deadline of 4:00 P.M., Local Time, March 21, 2023. Proposals may be submitted electronically online to www.publicpurchase.com or three (3) hard copies of the Proposal may be mailed or hand delivered in an opaque envelope to the Amarillo ISD Education & Support Center, Purchasing Department, 2 nd floor, 7200 I-40 Frontage Road, Amarillo, Texas 79106. All proposals must be identified as follows: “HS AND MS GYM HVAC PROJECT, CSP 4053.” Failure to have a Proposal submitted by the above Deadline shall result in the proposal NOT being considered; fax or email submissions shall NOT be considered. Proposals shall be opened and read aloud upon the Deadline at the Amarillo ISD Education & Support Center, 7200 I-40 Frontage Road, Amarillo, Texas 79106. A pre-proposal conference/walk-through will be held at 1:30 P.M. on March 14, 2023 at 905 East St., Amarillo, TX 79107. Should the pre-proposal conference be held at a campus, all contractors shall check in at the school office prior to the pre-proposal meeting. A Proposal guarantee in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check or bid bond, payable to Amarillo ISD, in the amount of 5% of the largest possible total for the Proposal amount submitted, must accompany each Proposal. The Project Manual, Plans and Specifications may be examined at the following locations: AGC (Associated General Contractors) Plan Room, P.O. Box 2563, 1707 SW. 8 th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas; or, Seth McClellan, Brown Consulting Engineers, Inc., 350 Olsen Blvd. #10, Amarillo, Texas 79109; or, Public Purchase, www.publicpurchase.com. Scope of work and Estimated Budget : Upgrade HVHj JXIKTGBNL 15 WILRS6 7 9 w8s0s5 AC units to include cooling at the gymnasiums at Tascosa HS “Old Main,” Palo Duro HS “Old Main & Auxiliary Gym 1,” and the Middle School Gyms at Johnny Allen, Austin, Bonham, Bowie, Crockett, Fannin, Sam Houston, Mann & Travis. This includes upgrades to the plumbing and electrical along with necessary roof curbs or adapters. The estimated budget for all work is $4,000,000. The estimated project final completion date for all work is April 7, 2024. [1] The terms “Contractor” refers to all persons or entities submitting a Proposal in response to the District’s CSP and this term is used interchangeably with the terms “Proposer,” “Vendor” and “Offeror” throughout CSP, depending on the context.
