PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This Project consists of the following elements of Work: replacement of existing timber bulkhead at CSO Outfall 171 with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) sheet pile, steel soldier piles and waler, and cast-in-place concrete bulkhead; replacement of a portion of the existing CSO outfall with 36-inch-diameter reinforced concrete pipe, precast concrete vault, check valve and all appurtenances; construction stormwater pollution prevention; temporary sewer bypassing; dewatering; demolition and site preparation; excavation, backfill and compaction and; handling and disposal of site soils and debris. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: This Project has a construction window for all in-water work below the ordinary high water line. See the Instruction to Bidders, Agreement Form, and Section 1-08.4 of the Project Manual for details on the construction window. The Owner will furnish FRP sheet piles, 36-inch-diameter reinforced pipe, precast concrete vault, and check valve.
