The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to C S Bio Company, 20 Kellly Court, Manlo Park, CA 94025 for CS336X fully automated peptide synthesizer, equipped with a synthesizer box, computer with monitor, and automation software. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. To the best of our knowledge, only C S Bio Company will satisfy the Agency's requirement because this is the only vendor that can provide the equipment for peptides using both Boc and Fmoc chemistry, including Boc chemistry that utilizes very strong organic acids. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
