NASA/KSC has a requirement for four (4) cryogenic cargo tanker trailers for use at KSC and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

NASA/KSC intends to issue a sole source contract modification to acquire the items from Alloy Custom Products under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302.  It has been determined that Alloy Custom Products is the sole provider of cryogenic cargo tanker trailers modified to meet NASA-KSC specifications and no other type of cryogenic cargo tanker trailer will satisfy agency requirements.

The Government intends to acquire the commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Jennifer Thompson, Contracting Officer, [email protected] not later than 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on April 28, 2021.  Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.  A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
