This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Crop Tree Thinning on the Cumberland Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Rowan County, Kentucky. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment (except that specified under Government Furnished Property), transportation and supervision to perform all work required to complete crop tree thinning or under-story removal by felling trees with chainsaws and other cutting devices in accordance with the terms, provisions, and specifications of the contract.
This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
The Forest Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract as the result of this combined synopsis/solicitation. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, therefore the evaluation procedures at FAR 13.106-2 will be used. A firm-fixed price award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the proposal that provides the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.
This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. If interested, please refer to Page 5, Instructions to Offerors, to see what needs to be completed and returned with your Offer. Offers are due by 4:30 PM EST on August 7, 2014.
