This announcement serves as a Sources Sought synopsis issued for the
purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation
(FAR) Part 10. This Sources Sought synopsis is issued solely for information
and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice
a request for quotation or proposal. DO NOT submit a quote or proposal in
response to this synopsis.
For the purpose of this acquisition, the North American Industrial
Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and
Other Wiring Installation.
The purpose of this notice is to identify potential companies that are capable
and qualified to provide the services required in accordance with the salient
characteristics.
Any interested business concern shall provide the following:
- Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number and e-mail
address.
- Business size (if SB provides proof of certification, etc.) under North American
Industry Classification System (NAICS) 238210 - Electrical Contractors and
Other Wiring installation.

potential requirement? (a) Prime contractor; (b) Subcontractor; or (c) Other,

All responsible, capable, and interested business concerns serious about
potentially submitting a response to any subsequent RFQ or RFP to provide
these services/supplies are invited to respond. Any information provided by
industry to the Government as a result of this Sources Sought synopsis is
voluntary and the Government does not intend to pay for any information
provided under this synopsis.

Salient Characteristics:
Contractor will provide management, tools, supplies, equipment and labor
necessary to perform maintenance on the Central Plant Control System
(CPCS) Schriever Air Force Base (SAFB). The CPCS is the control system
that automates/controls/monitors (3) 2650 KW Caterpillar, (3) 2300KW
Mirrlees Blackstone and (1) 2700 KW EMD generator, 12,470 volt commercial
power and medium/low voltage switchgear, transformers, single phase
Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) and Motor Control Centers (MCC), all
of which ensures power supply reliability by automatically switching base
electrical power to generators for uninterrupted power. The contractor
performs Scheduled Maintenance (SM) every (6) months, unless otherwise
specified by the CO. SM includes system-debugging, upgrades, adjustments,
calibrations, load studies, testing and operational/ functionality testing of all
components of the CPCS. The contractor ensures system is 100% operational
in the automatic and manual modes after each scheduled maintenance and
service, unless prohibited by repair material lead time.
