The City of Henderson, Nevada, is soliciting responses from qualified construction managers/general contractors for the performance of Construction Manager at Risk services for the renovation of multiple courtrooms within the Justice Building at 243 S Water Street, Henderson. Pre-construction services shall include constructability reviews, construction cost estimates, advice, project analysis and feedback regarding materials, methods, systems, schedule, labor and other conditions affecting construction and subcontractor selection for development and construction of the Project. Additive alternates may be considered, pending scope and budget availability. Anticipated scope of construction to be evaluated may include: 1) Renovation of a currently unused courtroom to be used as jury assembly for civil trials including removal (and possible salvage/reuse within another courtroom) of existing bench seating, casework renovation or replacement, minor power and data work, finish work such as paint and carpet; 2) Renovation of an existing courtroom to provide for civil trials by jury to include renovation or replacement of existing casework, new jury box and seating, minor power and data work to account for updated AV and lighting, potential replacement of public seating, finish work such as paint, carpet, ceiling work and acoustic panels. Due to the location and security requirements of this project, every staff and person working on the project must pass a CJIS (Federal) background check. The City’s construction estimate is between $350,000 and $450,000, therefore Nevada State Prevailing Wage Rates will apply.
