Special Notice

The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons:

Analogic Imaging is the exclusive distributor  of Copley Amplifier systems. They have extensive intimate knowledge  and documents needed to fulfill this contract.  Analogic Corporation has an exclusive agreement  in selling Copley products.

 This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.  No solicitation documents are available and requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.  No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.  A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.

The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89 dated September 3, 2015 and DFARS Publication Notice 20160830. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the proposed contract action is 334516, which has a business size standard of  500.

 Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 22 September , 2016.  This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.  However, all responses received by 22 September , 2016,  will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
