CONTRACTORS Would you like to learn how to work more effectively with the U.S. Forest Service? The Fremont-Winema National Forests invite all vendors and contractors to open forums in Lakeview, Ore. and Klamath Falls, Ore. The Lakeview meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Lakeview Interagency Office, 1301 South G Street. The Klamath Falls meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Klamath Ranger District, 2819 Dahlia Street. Contractors currently doing business, and those who wish to do business with the Fremont-Winema National Forests are encouraged to attend. We will have a representative from the Oregon GCAP (Government Contractor Assistance Program) in attendance to discuss and assist contractors with registration in CCR (Central Contractor Registration), we will also have the Region 6 Fire Contracting Officer in attendance to discuss current fire related needs and the new system (VIPR)( Virtual Incident PRocurement) of awarding dispatches to incidents. Contractors will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the use of FBO (Federal Business Opportunities), and received current information on potential new requirements within the Fremont-Winema National Forests.
