The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable contractors for a contract for construction of HUD-Funded Curb & Gutter for E Truxtun Area in accordance with the specifications included herein. One (1) signed original and one (1) copy of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope by the time and date specified in the bid document. Bids submitted by facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted. Interested bidders must log in and download complete bid specifications available under the “Documents/Attachments” tab. This contract will be utilized as an on call, as needed basis in accordance with the specifications of the bid document. Successful contractor is required to pay the higher of either the rates published in the Davis-Bacon Wage Determination issued by the U.S. Department of Labor (Federal) or the General Prevailing Wage Determination issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (State) to all laborers and mechanics and other workers on this project.
