The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Division of Job Corps, intends to award a sole source contract to Adams & Associates, Inc. 10395 Double R Blvd., Reno NV 89521. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.
Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential, and career technical training and services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged at-risk youth each year at 125 Job Corps Centers nationwide. This requirement specifically includes the provisions of academics, vocational training, social skills, career development training post-center career transition services, and related support services for an estimated 428 students (366 residential and 62 nonresidential). The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and provide services to all students, as applicable.
This requirement is for the operation of the Woodstock Job Corps Center located in Woodstock, MD. The anticipated period of performance is for a 23-month base period (2/1/2017 thru 12/31/2018); no additional ordering option periods.
