The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Applied Biosystems, Inc., 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404, for continued maintenance of existing Applied Biosystems equipment at CDC. The equipment is as follows: eight (8) 7500 Fast DX Units, serial numbers 275012000, 275012014, 275012298, 275012299, 275030043, 275030040, 275030283, and 275030036; 9700-96 Well unit, serial number 805S8192886, G96S8192526; and 7500 Fast Real Time PCR, serial number 275011239. Service includes onsite priority response, scheduled planned maintenance, spectral dye calibration during the PM, labor & travel fees included, covered replacement parts, Technical Assistance Center, remote monitoring, and factory-trained and certified engineers. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
