The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and firms to provide consulting services to support the development and delivery of training programs, seminars, and workshops on the implementation and use intelligent transportation systems (ITS) in public transit.
The goal of NTI’s training on transit ITS is to increase awareness of ITS and how the transit core suite of technologies can be deployed to deliver safer and more efficient transit services. Current offerings include awareness level seminars and courses on rural ITS, multimodal traveler information systems, and contactless fare collection systems. The training opportunities are developed for transportation professionals including planners, engineers, and operations managers involved in the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of transit ITS applications. Assignments would include the development of specific modules to be incorporated into various training options and/or the facilitation of courses, workshops, and seminars on a task order basis.
To obtain a copy of the complete Request for Proposal, send a written request to [email protected]; fax or mail your request on your organization letterhead to the Purchasing address/fax number noted above including your email address.
