Project Beartrap - System Analyst

1.0 Introduction
The contractor shall provide in-service engineering support for the Advanced Technology Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Beartrap program.
2.0 Background
CNO K-0416 Project Beartrap is an interim support for life Advanced Technology Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) program. Beartrap supports 15 modified P-3C and 8 modified SH-60B aircraft. In order to execute the mission of the project, unique software / hardware operator and designer skills are required. Project System Analysts provide the required knowledge and training for these systems.
3.0 Scope
The contractor shall provide recurring in-service engineering support for Project Beartrap aircraft and lab systems.
Place of Performance:
Services to be performed on an on-call basis via telecommunication support.
4.0 Performance Requirements
The contractor shall provide Beartrap system support to NAS Patuxent River. Major tasks include:
4.1 Provide recurring input in support of design interface, operator interface, and system design.
4.2 Provide post production support directed toward special mission systems and analysis equipment.
4.3 Provide specialized technical knowledge support in respect to system reviews and special projects initiatives.
4.4 Travel locations include NAWC Patuxent River. Travel will be for one person approximately 2 trips.
4.5 A secret clearance is required in the performance of this effort. Access to training and lab spaces, and some hardware sets are classified.
5.0 Identification of Contractor Personnel
Corporate affiliation shall be referenced on all written documentation that refers to contractor personnel. This is required for internal and external communication. Similarly, the contractor affiliation shall be identified at the beginning of any meeting or conference where contractor personnel are in attendance
Award is expected 18 August 2010. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 04 August 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
