Synopsis Solicitation Number AG-04R3-S-09-0011 Response Date: 08/7/2009 Solicitation Issue Date: 07/20/2009 100% Set-Aside for Small Business NAICS: 115310 Forestry Services, $7.5 million CONIFER TREE CLIMBING AND CONIFER CONE COLLECTION The purpose of this solicitation is to secure services for conifer tree climbing and conifer cone collection primarily on the Umatilla National Forest. This solicitation will result in a performanced-based, multiple-year, “Requirements” Type Contract. The estimated quantity stated in the schedule reflects the approximate need the Umatilla National Forest anticipates during the life of this contract. Utilization of a “requirements” contract has been determined to be appropriate for acquiring cone collection needs as the Government anticipates recurring requirements but cannot predetermine the precise quantities that will be ordered during the contract period. The contract quantities do not include a minimum (guaranteed) obligation on the part of the Government. Task Orders will be issued with actual quantities to the Contractor at the beginning of each cone collection period. The scope includes the contractor furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals in compliance with the contract's terms, specifications and provisions. The project areas are located throughout the Umatilla National Forest and may include whitebark pine trees on the Malheur National Forest.
