The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center, Core Technologies, Microscopic Imaging (MI) Research Unit in Wyndmoor, PA intends to negotiate solely with Leica Microsystems in Chicago, IL to furnish and deliver (FOB) Destination a Leica TCS SPE-II Confocal Unit RGB Microscope Part #156601402, Objective set Part #155935200, Leica TCS SPE TLD Kit Part #156605101, Leica TCS SPE DMI Optical Outfit Part # 155933451, Stage Insert for Super Z Part # 155935411, Fluorescence-Filterssystem A, Part # 15513873, Complete light ring set for phase contrast objectives Part #15521505, Shipping and Handling Part # 8074124, Training Part # 8074150 and Installation Part #9INSTALL-SPE. This microscope will be used to view objects stained with dyes that are illuminated by the lasers.
The objects then give off light and the digital camera captures the images. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 (current as of FAC 2005-66), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS is 333314. The Solicitation number is 800-0031-13 and is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this equipment must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment=s component=s and availability. In the event multiple quotes are received, the quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price, technically acceptable. In order to be considered technically acceptable, the item must meet specifications and compatibility requirements.
