This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Business Service Center (EBSC) is seeking a contractor to provide a Confocal Microscope to support research needs at the USDA ARS AFRS/NCCCWA 2217 Wiltshire Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430. The Eastern Business Service Center (EBSC) is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the equipment necessary per the attached capabilities statement for BARC. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources are available from which to receive competitive proposals.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this research is 334516.

Submission Instructions: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to provide the product as detailed are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 2:00 PM (CDT) September 14th, 2016. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to provide this product, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your SAM's Record which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A list of previous customers (Federal Preferred) which were provided products similar in nature (3) A complete description of the capabilities which will contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capacity to fulfill the requirement. EBSC requests that potential sources only submit the minimum information necessary.
