The 43rd Contracting Squadron at Pope AFB, North Carolina, is in need of a Concessionaire contract for Barber Shop services at the Pope Collocated Club and at the Skills Development Center. The Concessionaire Contract will be for 1 year. It could be extended for up to 10 years on a year per year base. The previous clientele has averaged approximately 400 patrons per month; however, this does not indicate future patronage of said Barber Shop. Proposals, if requested, shall be based on a firm fixed monthly minimum guarantee to the Collocated Club and the Skills Development Center.

The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), and invitation for bid (IFB) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the government as a result of information submitted in response to the sources sought announcement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. Sources Sought Instructions: A written response with detailed information is requested of those suppliers who can provide the above mentioned items. Detailed information shall include the vendor's capability of providing the required goods and current commercial availability. Responses to this notice are due on or before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Priority for consideration will be given to small businesses.
