SYNOPSIS for Sole Source: Comtech EF Data Radio Frequency (RF) Modems for US Navy Sea Tests

The contractor shall provide ten (10) Comtech EF Data SLM5650A RF Modems. These ten modems will be required to support at sea test events aboard US Navy ships.  The required delivery date is October 31 2013

The contractor must fully understand the specifications (See attached Specification).  

The Government intends to award a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price contract to Comtech EF Data, Tempe, Arizona, 85281, who is the only known source which possesses the required expertise.      

This requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). 

The associated NAICS Classification is 517410 and the size standard is $30 million.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
