THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ).  THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.

 1.  This notice seeks information regarding the availability of firms to provide and install a CNC Lathe at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX under an anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 333517 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.

 Note:  the responder is encouraged to recommend a more appropriate NAICS, however include the rationale for the alternate selection.

 2.  This notice is not a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.  Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary and the Government will not reimburse any costs incurred by the responder.

3.  Reference title F3P3BD6056AW01CNCLATHE in your written response to this notice.

 4.  The salient characteristics of the lathe and associated work required are attached.

 5.  Request interested and capable firms submit a company profile and capabilities statement.  The profile should include at a minimum: name and contact information,  business size (identify if 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or, as applicable based on NAICS, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB)/ Women Owned Small Business (WOSB)), primary NAICS, DUNS, CAGE Code and GSA contract number if applicable.

 Note:  Responses involving teaming arrangements should indicate the percentage of work that would be accomplished by the prime versus the work that would be accomplished by the teaming partner.

 The capabilities statement should include sufficient information (brochures, cut-sheets, drawings, etc.) that clearly demonstrates the ability of the offered product to meet the Government's minimum needs with regard to quality, fit, function, and performance. 

 Note:  Indicate if you are the manufacturer of the offered product, or provide the name and business size of the manufacturer of the product you would be supplying. Additionally, indicate your status as a foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort.

 6.  Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Information received will be considered confidential/proprietary and handled accordingly.

 7.  Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small business or other socio-economic category.
