PROJECT WORKSCHOPE: The project consists of replacing the existing infield natural turf and associated non-turf infield areas with new synthetic turf on seven existing baseball/softball fields including replacement of existing field lighting with new LED light fixtures, new poles/cross arms, and associated pole/fixture electrical to ground level. Other associated electrical work required for energization of the new lighting system is not included in this project. INVITATION Sealed bids will be received by City of Abbeville, Louisiana, City Hall, Attn: Kathy Faulk, 101 North State Street, Abbeville, LA 70510, on Monday, October 18, 2021 until 10:00 am Local Time and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for the following project: COMEAUX PARK, ABBEVILLE, LA BASEBALL & SOFTBALL FIELD IMPROVEMENT & LIGHTING REPLACEMENT PROJECT STATEMENT OF WORK: The project consists of replacing the existing infield natural turf and associated non-turf infield areas with new synthetic turf on seven existing baseball/softball fields including replacement of existing field lighting with new LED light fixtures and new poles. ([email protected]) Where bids are to be received on forms furnished by the awarding authority, no contract documents shall be issued to anyone except a Licensed Contractor or his authorized Representatives. In no event shall any documents for bidding be issued later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his/her address, contractor's state license number and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the City of Abbeville, City Hall, Attn: Kathy Faulk, 101 North State Street, Abbeville, LA 70510), mailed certified mail and must be received no later than the bid opening. Contractors desiring to bid shall submit to the Engineer, with their request for Contract Documents, evidence that they hold State License of proper classification (i.e. Building Construction, Electrical (Statewide)) and in full force and effect. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid must accompany each Bid, and shall be made payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference(s) will be held for this project on Monday, October 11 at 10:00 AM at the job site (300 Comeaux Memorial Dr., Abbeville, LA). All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted via email to the Design Engineer by 4:00pm on October 13, 2021.
