Iowa State University and the Iowa State University Alumni Association (hereafter referred to as “University” or “ISU”) are interested in receiving information, advice and ideas from funeral homes or other like providers to advise ISU on strategies to market and provide services for a proposed columbarium planned to be located next to the existing ISU cemetery. The proposed columbarium would provide burial niches for purchase by members of the ISU community including alumni and fans of the University. ISU is proposing to begin construction in 2025. The proposed schematic of the columbarium site is included as an attachment to this RFI. ISU will use the information gathered from this RFI to determine the best method to provide the services required to manage and operate the proposed columbarium.
