The following are the objectives of the Activity:

1. Reduced carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in the Choco region, generating a sustainable income revenue stream for Afro-Colombian and indigenous communities that are part of the USAID/Bioredd+ portfolio.

2. Reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from high Andean ecosystems (paramo, high altitude wetlands and high Andean forest (bosque alto andino), while improving the long-term water yield of high Andean ecosystems

3. Enhance GoC's capacity to achieve Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC) in Agriculture, Forestry and Other land use (AFOLU).

Given the critical nature of the activity, we're reaching out to you, our potential respondents, to get comments/suggestions on the attached draft portion of the Statement of Work (SOW).

This is a "special notice", not a Request for Proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to issue any solicitation or to pay for any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of comments on this notice. Responding to this notice will not give any advantage to any firm or organization in any subsequent procurement and will not lead to an organizational conflict of interest. Responses will strictly be held confidential. Potential respondents must not expect a direct response from the U.S. Government to any of the comments/suggestions.

To expedite our review and be considerate of your time, please keep comments/suggestions to no more than 1 page in length if possible. Additionally and in order to enrich this stage of the process, please strictly limit the response to comments /suggestions to the document rather than to the expertise of each interested organization. Responses to the notice must be written in English, and use 11 pt font. (Please number each page consecutively.)

All responses should be submitted no later than 3 pm on April 22(Bogota time).
