The purpose of this notice is to inform the commercial market of the Government's intent to make award to MICRO FOCUS, Palatine, IL for Micro Focus Software. This requirement will be made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. MICRO FOCUS states that it is the sole owner of the rights to sell and license the Micro Focus Software.
This firm fixed price purchase order is for Support and Maintenance Renewal for COBOL Server Support and Visual COBOL for Eclipse Support.
The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order on or about
May 8, 2019, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 12:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), May 5, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will be accepted by e-mail to [email protected].

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
