The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, contemplates award of a firm fixed price sole source contract to Golder Associates (UK) LTD, Bretby Business Park, Ashby Rd. Burton on Trent, Staffordshire DE150QD. The product shall be manufactured in the United Kingdom. The delivery date will be 16-20 weeks after award. The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) code is 333131. The Sole Source Award will be made under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contractor shall provide for the following:MIDAS MSHA approved data logger @ 130 each(quantity) , with various amplifiers as follows:25x with 500 ohm gain resistor-50x with 400 ohm gain resistor-25x with 200 ohm gain resistor @ 100 each(quantity) , MIDAS MSHA approved wireless interface @ 5 each (quantity) and M4ST24A Digitizer for the use of underground coal mining instrumentation @ 30 each (quantity). This equipment has been approved for use in the return air of operating coal mines by the United States Mine Safety and Health Administration. It is also compatible with preexisting instrumentation and is specifically required for continuity with previous data gathering equipment and techniques.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. However, all quotes received will be considered by the Government. All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide supplies in a timely and effective manner. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
If no affirmative written response is received at iie3@ cdc.gov by 3:00 pm EST on 08/26/2014 a sole source contract will be made to Golder Associates (UK) Limited.
