The University seeks Contractors with demonstrated experience in elevator modernization. Specific experience requirements include: work within an operational facility with limited staging area, upgrades to existing elevator equipment (control systems, submersible pumps, hoistway door equipment and wiring, signal and operating systems, Title 24, etc.), sequencing of work to accommodate access to all floors, understanding of deferred submittal items to be incorporated on to the project, ADA compliance to adhere to California ADA requirements, provide training and support to owner after completion of work and the use of MS Project schedules for work planning and execution. The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $3,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on their best three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as Prime Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Comparable projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: confined spaces to relocate equipment, working in occupied and heavy traveled areas, working with noise sensitive occupants, adhering to strict rules for access to building, limited parking allowable areas, little or no staging area and timely procurement of equipment.
