The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract, on a sole-source basis, to SCI Technology Inc., Huntsville, Alabama (CAGE 2J622) for the procurement of one (1) CMV-22B SCI Technology Communications Switching Unit (CSU) Software Modification.  This procurement is required to support of the Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC).  SCI Technology Inc. is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience and technical expertise to produce the CMV-22B SCI Technology CSU Software Modification.   An adequate purchase description or other information suitable to solicit by full and open competition has not been developed because the Government does not have sufficient engineering data or drawings to organically design the above integration and enable a competitive procurement.  SCI Technology Inc., as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), is the only source with the technical data, facilities and capabilities required to provide the communications switching unit software modification. 

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis.  Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit an award of a contract.
