Notice is hereby given that the Town of Northlake is now calling for bids for reconstruction of CLEVELAND-GIBBS REALIGNMENT AND WIDENING. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked “SEALED BID – CLEVELAND-GIBBS REALIGNMENT AND WIDENING” and returned to the Town of Northlake, 1500 Commons Circle, Suite 300, Northlake, Texas 76226, prior to 2:00 PM, CDST, Monday, January 16, 2023 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The Town of Northlakereserves the right to reject any or all bids received. This project includes the removal and relocation of approximately 5,065 linear feet of Cleveland-Gibbs Road. The improvements include increasing the width of the roadway from 22-feet to 28-feet from 11757 Cleveland-Gibbs to F.M. 1171. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, preparation of right-of-way, traffic control, approximately 2,300 SY of 2-inch asphalt TY D and 4-inch asphalt TY B pavement on 8-inch Flexbase; approximately 14,849 SY of 8-inch Reinforced Concrete pavement on 6- inch lime treated subgrade, approximately 1,356 SY of 8-inch Continuously Reinforced Concrete pavement on 4-inch asphalt TY B; approximately 790 LF of 6-foot by 3-foot box culvert, 174 LF of 4- foot by 3 foot box culvert, and approximately 2,616 linear feet of Storm Drain, and pavement markings and signage. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to Town of Northlake in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required. The Town of Northlake reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities.
