Headwaters Resources, Inc. controls the distribution of coal slag materials (cinders) which are a by-product of electrical generation activities at the Thomas Hill Power Plant. These materials come in two forms: clean washed cinders and dirty cinders. These are wet bottom boiler slag and are black in color. All cinders are to be free of rock, mud, and other debris, and 90% must pass through the 3/8-inch sieve. All cinders must meet MoDOTs Engineers approval for cleanliness and size of material. MoDOT will use materials from this supplier as needed during the contract period for various projects. The supplier will submit individual pricing for materials when requested.
