Title: CLC Bio Genomics Workbench

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate and award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to the CLC Bio LLC, 245 1st Street, Suite 1826, Cambridge, MA 02142-1246, for the purchase of their Genomoics Workbench Server License. This is specialized client-server software, which enables high-performance analysis of whole genome sequence data. The period of performance will be for 12 months.

It is the Government's belief that only one responsible source exists and no other product or services will satisfy the agency's requirement for this proprietary software. This requirement is for the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Disease (NCEZID).

CDC intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be received by August 27, 2013 at 12:00PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST). All responses must be in writing and must be sent via email to [email protected] with the solicitation number referenced in the subject line. No phone calls will be accepted.
