INVITATION TO BID CITY OF SAFFORD Airport Water Storage Tank ITB #66545 General Notice The City of Safford (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Airport Water Storage Tank ITB #66545 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall located at 717 West Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546, until Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project generally consists of the following Work: Grading of the tank site, installation of foundation for the tank, and construction of the welded steel storage tank. The Project shall include all excavation, subgrade preparation, engineered fill installation, steel tank construction, and appurtenances necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Project plans and specifications. Additional improvements as shown on the Drawings and noted in the specifications shall be required. The Work is expected to be substantially complete in 150 days and ready for final payment in 180 days. The Owner understands and will work with Contractors regarding longer than usual lead times as necessary. If a Contractor intends to Bid this Project, the Contractor shall contact David and register as a plan holder. Addenda issued during the bidding process will be emailed to those who have registered with David as a plan holder. When an addendum is issued, the plan holder shall confirm receipt of the addendum by email. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents or Addenda obtained from sources other than as designated above. Pre-Bid Conference A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site inspection for the Project will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time at the Mesa Yard Office Complex (MYOC); 405 W. Discovery Park Blvd., Safford, AZ 85546. Bids will be accepted from Bidders who do not attend the pre-bid conference. The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest, responsive, and responsible Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive irregularities or informalities in any Bid. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The Owner reserves the right to hold any or all Bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening.
