The City of Norcross is soliciting highly qualified consulting firms or individual consultants to provide professional services for the “Norcross Master Arts and Cultural Plan.” The consulting firm/consultant is expected to perform responsible, professional work in the research, compilation of data, analysis and studies as described in the Request for Proposals (RFP), for the preparation of a Norcross Master Arts and Cultural Plan. The City is insistent that these documents be user-friendly with adequate visual aids and written in language that is easily understood. The purpose of the Master Arts & Cultural Plan is to develop guidance for the Norcross Public Arts Commission, to identify resources for the support of public art, and cultural programming throughout the City of Norcross, and to set priorities for implementation within Norcross. The proposal shall identify a unified community vision, establish a plan for potential selections and placement of public and cultural art throughout the community, and strive to educate the public about the valuable role public art plays in the community. The proposal shall contain practical policies and be reflective of information that will guide the Norcross Public Arts Commission and City of Norcross in a coordinated and consistent manner to create a more livable and vibrant community.
