ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City Court Parking Lot JOB NO. 20180529 Bid No. 20180529 SEALED BIDS will be received by J.V. Burkes & Associates, Inc., 1805 Shortcut Highway, Slidell, Lousiana, until 2:00 P.M. Central Time on March 21, 2019, for the above referenced project, for the CITY COURT OF SLIDELL, LOUISIANA. Bids will be publically opened and read aloud thereafter in the J.V. Burkes office. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened. The Contractor shall hold a Louisiana Contractor’s license in Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. Only bids from contractors who secure Contract Documents from the Engineer, attend and sign-in at the mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held on March 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the construction site north of the City Court Building on Fourth Street, Slidell, LA 70458 shall be considered as responsive bidders for this project. All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. An executed affidavit and attestation form must be submitted prior to bid award. Contract Documents may be examined and secured for $100 per set from the Engineer, J.V. Burkes & Associates, Inc., 1805 Shortcut Highway, Slidell, LA 70458. The signature on bid must be that of an authorized representative of the corporation, partnership or other legal entity as defined by Louisiana Public Bid Law Statute 38:2212.A.(1)(c) which dictates parties authorized to submit bids for public contracts. All required Certificates of Liability Insurance shall list the City Court of Slidell as “additionally insured”. All applicable Federal, State, Local laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. All proposals, bids and applications are welcomed. The City Court encourages participation by Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms. Deposits are refundable to bonafide prime bidders and will be 50% refundable to all others with return of complete and unmarked documents no later than 10 days after receipt of Bids.
