Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with CHEMSW, Inc. 4711 Mangels Blvd, Fairfield, CA 94534, for services as described below.


Support Contract Renewal for 1-year support for CISPro Global (20 concurrent users). June 1, 2011 to June 1, 2012.

CISPro Global Fire Code Reports and Clasifications Database - part number 18037

The NIST Safety Health and Environment Division (SHED) proposes to purchase 20 concurrent licenses and technical support for CISPro Chemical Inventory Software from Chem SW, Inc. CISPro is a relational database customized for chemical inventories that provides the following:

• tracking individual containers through bar coding,
• storing material safety datasheets and other hazard information for each chemical, and
• generating reports required for regulatory compliance.

The NIST-wide chemical inventory has been implemented using CISPro software over the past 2 - 5 years
The MSDS database used by NIST is CHEMWATCH. CISPro is directly linked to CHEMWATCH, which facilitates the transfer of information and the identification of chemical hazards.

Based on NIST's recent market research, NIST has only identified the one source that can provide the required request CHEMSW, Inc. 4711 Mangels Blvd, Fairfield, CA 94534


The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price purchase order. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; however, companies that believe they can fulfill the requirement may provide a written response to this notice and provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate that capability. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition
