DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The purpose of this contract is to acquire fire lookout services on the Diamond Lake Ranger District in accordance with the attached specifications. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the attached performance standards and quality assurance plan. Except for those items designated as Government furnished property, the Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals necessary to complete the work required.
PROJECT LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILTY
Cinnamon Butte Lookout is located approximately 19 miles east of the Toketee Ranger Station (Diamond Lake Ranger District Office), 8 miles north east of Diamond Lake Resort and 78 miles east of Roseburg, Oregon (see attached vicinity map). The first 75 miles from Roseburg are paved highway, the next 3 miles are rock surfaced road (Forest Road 4793). There is a control gate located approximately half way between Hwy 138 and the lookout. There is a circle driveway at the top of the mountain that runs completely around the lookout with ample parking room.
The project includes a base period of time and four optional periods of time. Estimated performance time for each year (2020 - 2024) is June 15th - October 15th.
