Synopsis:
This pre-solicitation notice is for a Chiropractor and Chiropractor Assistant for the 87th Medical Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The award will be a labor hour contract with a period of performance of 1 Oct 2015- 30 Sep 2016 with four (4) one year option periods. This is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside. The duties of the chiropractor include but are not limited to the following: Perform standard osseous and soft tissue procedures only, as commonly taught in Chiropractic College accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education. Responsible for delivery of treatment within the personnel and equipment capabilities of the MTF, provision of mandated medical surveillance and preventive services and the quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided. The duties of the chiropractor assistant include but are not limited to the following: Perform a variety of duties to carry out treatments prescribed for patients as a result of injury; surgery; respiratory, cardiac, and/or aging conditions. Interviews patients and obtains detailed medical and demographic information preliminary to the chiropractic treatment plan. Records age, sex, military status or affiliation and similar demographic data. Develops questions to illicit details of patient condition such as: nature and mechanism of injury; single or multiple conditions, prior treatment, medications, x-ray results, and activities which exacerbate and mitigate symptoms. Recognizes specific details during discussion with patient for implication of pathology problems. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps.gov on 1 September 2015.
